"Ten Toes Down" was orignally constructed as a movie in Brian's head before taking the form of a novel. As a nod to the original idea and because grown-up books never have any pictures, we kept the concept of a soundtrack as a way to illustrate some of the emotions and thoughts in the text. There are many, many songs we could have chosen for any of the chapters; these are the final twenty-eight that made the cut.
